My Old Friend Iris
An original Freise Corner Bar creation adds a fresh new twist to the classic Old Friend cocktail. Freshly squeezed pink grapefruit juice, Gran Classico Bitter, Iris liqueur and respado mezcal make this cocktail smokey, slightly bitter and sweet with a touch of floral.
Equipment
- Cocktail Shaker
- Cocktail Strainer
- Fine Mesh Strainer
- Coupe Glass
Ingredients
- 1½ oz Mezcal Respado
- ¾ oz Fresh Squeezed Pink Grapefruit Juice Florida Grapefruit is the best
- ½ oz Gran Classico Bitter Tempus Fugit
- ½ oz Iris Liqueur
- 1 Grapefruit Swathe
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake until chilled.
- Double strain into a chilled coupe glass.
- Garnish with a Grapefruit Swathe.
